U23 Summer Racing
Vesper High-Performance Summer Program
Vesper Boat Club’s High-Performance Summer Program offers U23 athletes the opportunity to train on Philadelphia’s historic Boathouse Row alongside a highly motivated, competitive group. This two-month camp provides elite coaching, cutting-edge training facilities, and top-tier equipment designed to advance athletes both technically and physiologically.
Athletes will compete in a summer racing circuit, including the Independence Day Regatta and RowFest Nationals, with a strong emphasis on winning in the 8+, 4+, and 2-. Following RowFest Nationals, the program shifts focus toward preparing athletes for their return to collegiate programs, with targeted development in small boats. Practices are held six mornings per week, with optional afternoon training sessions available.
"The summer of 2017, we won a few big races at USRowing Club Nationals and the U23 M8+ at Canadian Henley. It was a great time, and I met some awesome people. I would recommend every collegiate athlete do a summer season in Philly at some point because it was the best combination of development as an athlete and fun you can have at a competitive level." - Justin Best, 2024 USA Men's Four Olympic Gold Medalist
