The mission of Vesper Boat Club is to develop highly skilled and competitive rowers at all levels by providing its diverse community of membership with premier rowing programs and first-class facilities and equipment.

Vesper Boat Club is led by a group of elected officers and a board of directors. In addition, there is a board of trustees that serves by appointment of the board of directors. Standing committees are typically led by an officer or board member.

Elections are held each year in December or January. All Full, Family, VIP, and Lifetime members in good standing with at least two years of membership are eligible to vote. Officers serve one-year terms, while board members serve two-year terms, with half of the board elected annually.
