U23 Racing Team Impresses at RowFest

The Vesper U23 Racing Squad travelled up to Ypsilanti, Michigan, for Rowfest National Championships!

Through two days of intense competition, the team came back home with an impressive medal count. With every athlete earning medals through the weekend.

Saturday Highlights:

  • Men's Youth Single - 4th place

  • Men's U23 Lightweight Single - 2nd place

  • Men's U23 Pair - 2nd (vesper A) and 3rd place (Vesper B)

  • Women's U23 Pair - National Champions!! (Vesper A) And 3rd place (Vesper B)

Sunday Highlights:

  • Men's U23 Straight Four - 3rd place

  • Women's U23 4+ - 3rd place

  • Men's U23 Eight - 1st place, National champs! (Vesper A), 2nd place (Vesper B)

  • Women's U23 Eight - 1st place, National champs! (Vesper A), 3rd place (Vesper B)

In total, 3 gold medals, 3 silver medals, 5 bronze medals! 

Team is now back on boathouse row, preparing for the Independence Day Regatta on July 24-26th.
